Who will benefit from our ActivNess coaching services?
Our coaching services are aimed specifically at those may want a little more help or understanding when it comes to enjoying a more active life.

ActivNess coaching services are designed to help:

  • People experiencing stress, anxiety, or depression.
  • People living with a long term condition.
  • People who are finding it difficult to get started with exercise or activity.
  • People who struggle with motivation or consistency.
  • People who wish to their build confidence and self-esteem.
  • People who don’t normally feel comfortable in an exercise or sporting environment.

ActivNess Activity Coaching Sessions
Our 'Stepping Stone' activity sessions focus on developing the client’s physical skills, and building the client’s confidence in an activity environment.
These ‘Back to Basics’ sessions aim to give people a solid foundation in functional fitness for daily life, sport, and play.
What exactly does this mean?
This means we take things back to the beginning, and start from there. We focus on mobilisation, balance, coordination, gross motor skills, strength, and flexibility. We can also try a range of different recreational activities in a safe, fun, non competitive environment. This practice helps to improve technique, and develop skill using a variety of equipment.

Session are offered on a one-to-one, or one-to-two (usually a friend or carer) basis, and conducted in a relaxed, friendly manner that creates an environment that allows for open dialogue. If a client does wish to discuss issues or concerns, part of our role is to signpost them to appropriate health practitioners.

The aim of our coaching is to assist those who are experiencing stress, anxiety, or depression regain mental balance through activity and good nutrition, and to help enable people living with long term conditions to take control and manage their own health and wellbeing.
